Best round software
« on: June 22, 2014, 12:46:37 pm »
I have been using George for many years, and have found it very good for my needs. But I am in the middle of revamping my business, I have a new van new equipment, and was thinking about trying some new software to organise my growing round. What software do you guys use?

I didn't realise that this was made by George, looks good and it is what I am used to as it is similar to George and cheaper than cleaner planner, might be worth a try. Thanks

My George is free! I've been using it for over 8 years and never paid a penny!

You got lucky then as I paid a one off payment of £50 many years ago.. Mind you that was it.. No other hidden charges, it just won't work on the mac

It can work on a mac as thats what I use. You need a programme to transfer it to Apple.

Oh, maybe I did pay the one off fee? but I don't remember it, it was about 10 years ago! I have been looking at cleaner planner etc but can't seem to get the hang of it, might stick to good old George after all!

i have just switched to cleaner planner , my reason for this is that i dont want to be left behind with all the updates to current software, i have been using george for the past 6 or 7 years with no problem but i decided to take the leap to get full advantage of text integration, tablet based worksheets that sync automatically when you get home and also the online aspect of it (logging into your database wherever you have internet). For a few quid a week it is a small cost to pay IMO.  In terms of functionality it is very straight forward and self explanatory you just need to give it a few minutes and it makes sense. I didnt feel that was the case when i trialed aworka, just couldnt get my head around the differences in fact i found Cleaner Planner to be much more like the George simplicity that we have all grown to love.

I like the look of cleaner planner! Very sad to say it but WCP looks like its day has been  :-[ which is a shame because i really like using it.

I worry about using it because if something goes wrong it isnt fixed instantly.

Can i stretch to £25 a month tho gulp lol.

LWC- cleaner planner is brilliant and well worth the fee. Trial it free for 30 days and make your mind up - its really good.

Hi All,

Just thought I'd pop by and say hi as lots of good discussion around Cleaner Planner here - thanks for the kind words guys :)

If anyone has any questions at all, or fancies giving CP a try but doesn't know where to start, please don't hesitate to drop me an email directly at rob@cleanerplanner.com and I'll help you get up and running with the free trial so you can see if it's for you. I can import from WCP, George, Aworka and Excel. If you're on paper I can help you get your data into Excel format.

Spursboy1972 - Yep, Cleaner Planner is web based so it works perfectly on the Mac, and we have dedicated mobile apps for your iPhone / iPad / Android as well so you can take your worksheets on the road in digital format. It works offline while you're out and about so no need to worry about signal, you don't even need a data plan, just sync up at start / end of day over wifi.

LWC - Thanks for the WCP backup, looking forward to getting you up and running later today :) Ongoing development and support is what CP is all about and I'm sure my wonderful users would attest that when there is a rare glitch I fix it as immediately as humanly possible!

Thanks,

Rob
