A new scam email claiming to be from companies house is (as of this morning) doing the rounds. The email claims to be regarding a "company complaint". DO NOT OPEN. It's a scam & full of nasty stuff.

Thanks for this Adrian - I receive several of these a day now - mainly from "HMRC", "Companies House", "Banks" and several more.

Please be aware that very rarely if at all will you receive an email from these kind of companies asking for this kind of information.

Always be over vigilent with these type of emails, ring the legitimate companies in question if in doubt.

All the best.

Mitch.

Cheers Mitch. Been getting the bank emails for ages, strangely even though I don't bank with them ;D

HMRC are ignored anyway :P But this comapnies house one is a new one for me. Google'd it and theres loads of warnings.

Bought a Kindle book off Amazon last night...this morning an e mail about my account from them...I think not.
Impossible done straight away, miracles can take a little longer.

This seems to be happening more regularly: You'll buy something on-line (legitimately), and within a couple of days a (scam) email arrives that looks like it's from the company you bought from (eBay/PayPal etc)...  I guess this is organised crime in action?
