Falch T3H is our main unit now

We have another 5 - just in case - and each one has a use on different jobs.

I run a drain jetter, 30lpm at 200 bar, however I only run it at around 12 lpm for cleaning with the surface cleaner (15lpm when on the turbo), I wouldn't use anything else either, although never owned a falch, I cleaned 2 driveways next to each other today, about 60 to 70 m2 eachieve (130 - 140 total) in 2 hours flat, in fact more like 1.5 hours as I stopped midway to wait for water to catch up and eat my lunch.... These times where never achievable when I was running at 15lpm :) will upload some pics on other thread :)

Lee, how do you clean a drive quicker running at 12lpm than 30 lpm? Is it cause at 30lpm your machine empties the water to quick? Not questioning pal I'm just trying to learn and educate myself as I go along. Cheers.

How you finding the Lombardini Lee? I found a place that does all genuine filters/parts at good prices if you need anything. Was thinking of upgrading my pump to a 2030.. what do you reckon? Only problem is, id need to find a 30lpm boiler to put on it to replace the 15lpm boiler on it now.

I found 21lpm to be perfect. Can get a good turnover of standard jobs with that flow. Ive got a 30lpm trailer machine in the lockup but barely use it.

I'm finding it great Matt, to be honest Ive not used my 1204 yet, I'm still running the air cooled 12ld475, with interpump 2030, I would stick with your 15 litre boiler as that's all you need really unless your thinking about cleaning at 30lpm? Think about it, chewing gum removal, 15lpm max (if not less), graffiti removal, same realy, the 2 main jobs where heat is required don't need 30lpm if you get me? Therefore I would say your hotbox would be suitable for your needs. Also, do you do drain jetting? if not then I would be tempted to go for a ws252 (250 bar at 21lpm) or a ws2525 (250 bar at 25lpm), as this will provide great cleaning power for one man. As you say 30lpm is hard to work with when it comes to flow, I only use it for a rinse of at the end and drain jetting, otherwise I would choose one of the formentioned pumps if I didn't do drains  ;D

The boiler is before the hose reel, so regardless of nozzle size, the full flow of whatever pukp i use will go through the boiler, bence why a 15lpm boiler wont heat the water if the pump is more flow. I already upgraded to a 21lpm ws202. Its good to work with.

It doesn't matter where the boiler is as long as it's not befobefore your unloader then it will only heat water passing through it which will be dictated by nozzle size, the rest will dump back to tank before it gets to the boiler :)

You will eventually cook the pump if left unloading with a small amount of water in the tank. Re-plumb it so the boiler is after the unloader

Yes as carl says, plus you should NEVER have heat running through an unloader anyway  :o, most are only rated to 60 degrees or 90 degrees, none at 150!!! lol..... also make sure there is no heat running through anything else like your flow switch, that should be before the boiler too.... do you have a pressure relief valve fitted? You will need one if you don't have mate, goes between your boiler and gun, (if trapped pressure unloader, if flow sensitive then you need it between your unloader and your boiler), this slowly releases steam when you let go of the trigger, as steam expandsand can blow hises / fitting / can also travel back down line to your pump etc....

If you follow these steps as mentioned you will find that your water will get hotter as you can step down your nozzles and run at whatever flow you want and also create pure steam if it has a 150 degree thermostat....  ;D so yes a 15 lpm boiler will be perfect for you  ;D

Yeah, ive got a prv fitted. Also have whT looks like a prv fitted to underneath the boiler. It was set up like this when i bought it. All set out on a skid. Has a genny run off the flywheel (pump & genny are belt drive)

Ill need to have another look. The water gets warm using a normal nozzle running 21lpm. I havent really had a play with different nozzles and the boiler to be honest.

The aquilla trailer mount that I've just bought doesn't have a radiator, instead it has a heat exchange, a long pipe running through the bottom of my water tank, so when the engine gets hot if puts water through this pipe and it cools the engine down  ;D Another bonus of this is that as my water tank takes heat from the radiator it also warms the water up, therefore when it goes into the hot box it is already slightly warmed up, meaning that the burner heats it far more efficiently and gets it hotter as none of the energy is waster bringing the water from say 10 degrees (or less) to 150, its takes it from around 20 degrees, it then comes out the lance scolding hot  ;D

Ok will do mate, that's at my mates yard at the min.
The aquilla runs on a Kubota d905, not sure of the hp, somewhere between 18 and 22, it has a Cat 70 pump which does 17lpm at 350 bar, however I just run it at around 250 which seems ample, I'm toying with the idea of putting a ws 2525 on it, or a 2030... I also acquired another diesel zeta yesterday (that's 2 I have now as I sold one the other month) :) No wonder I'm skint as all my moneys tied up in equipment....
I have a lombardini twin cylinder drain jetter that's just being painted, large hose reel, air cooled twin cylinder, interpump 2030, will be looking for £2k if interested.
