I've got to try and get some green nail  varnish out of a carpet tomorrow, what's the best thing to use, or is there no hope?

Use acetone.  Our customers are also getting excellent results with Chemspec's new T.I.G. (Tar, Ink and Grease) which was launched at the ISSA show.  Nail varnishes these days (going from my teenage daughter's collection) are bright, vibrant colours. These dyes can often be left behind in the carpet even when you remove the main constituent of the varnish.  In this instance Dye Gone can sometimes remove the remnants.

I had a large spill to deal with the other week, it was coming up up easily so I used some acetone I got from ebay rather than use up all my specialist product, Acetone Glue Remover from John. I save that for the problem ones

Didn't have any of that so tried  POG from chemspec and it came out so custy well happy

Hi Guys

Acetone is the best always buy the most concentrated you can.

Pog works quite well amyl acetate which is similar.

Isopropanol is often quite good in conjunction with acetone to remove last remnants.

The most important thing is whether the customer has had a go first, if so they will probably have partially dissolved it and that is much more difficult to remove.
