Cleaners mate
« on: April 30, 2014, 08:51:47 pm »
Hi, I mainly post in the pressure washing section and looking at purchasing some kind of client database software, I'm very impressed with the cleaners mate software, but not so impressed that there is no app to run along side it, this stopped me from purchasing it for now anyway, does anyone know of a similar program that has an app asell?
thanks
 :)

I can see the program is great, I was going to buy it, until I Realised there wasn't an app to run along side it, Ie, to book appointments on the road etc, when I price a job I don't want to wait till I get back to the office to book them in, I want to do it there and then, just wondered if there was anything out there that has that facility?
Thanks

Hi, gave Kev a call and spoke about his software, unfortunately there is no app to go with this programme and there is no intention to create an app due to high costs of creating one, which is understandable really giving the prices he quote to convert the programme into an app, but on the other hand it's ashame as the way of the world now is pushing towards tablets and smartphones, there must be something out there that has this feature??? I just want to go out, buy a galaxy note tablet or ipad and have that as my diary / customer database / lead manager etc... anyone any ideas?
Thanks

Hi Kenny

Why don't you just use a windows tablet as opposed to an iPad? I see no reason why it won't work on this basis, if you can install a program on it then you can run CM. You would need to check out whether it can print though - if thats what you wanted to do (unlike iPads).

Just for info, conversions increase with printouts - without a doubt, as do the job ticket values. Personally when I quote, I simply use a small laptop and a wireless, bluetooth battery printer.

I'm not sure yet Shaun, won't know til literally the day before mate.

Jim, I use an HP Deskjet 460wbt. It still works like the day I got it so highly recommend them. Good quality and the battery lasts for ages.

I know there has been the 470 to replace it but not sure if this is the most recent one, they might have replaced it again. The last time I looked there was some great deals on Ebay for 2nd hand ones. By the way, wbt means it's wireless and battery operated (and mains of course).

Hope this helps.

p.s. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HP-Deskjet-460WBT-Mobile-Printer-/331202230260?_trksid=p2054897.l4275 There are some even older 450wbt's on there too.

Kev is a proof that such a thing called "good customer care" exists.
Had many problems with CM due to the windows language, location, use of txt local on it, and all problems has been sorted.
Mostly a lot effort probably to get CM works with irish mobiles. All done.
Before CM I was installing Get Booked Up, software did not worked at all, send a querry to them and after one email all stopped, no answer till now. Shame to them, it was trail free version but definitelly would be a premium one if working.
Thanks Kev

Radek, fair play for praising Kev and I agree with everything you say but do you have to criticise another brand/company. Why can't you just keep that to yourself? You seem to have a thing about going on public forums and telling all how bad a company has been.
Poor IMHO!

Hi Radek

This is the initial email you sent to me re GetBookedUp...

Hi

Can not install the software.
Technically it is installed but when I try to run it then some alerts showing up. It is something about database errors.

Tried few times and still the same

Thanks

And this was the reply I sent back, and i'm sorry i didn't chase you again...

Hi Radoslaw,

It may be the setting in the software installed in Ireland as I notice you have a .ie email extension.  If you uninstall the software and delete any remaining GetBookedUp folder then reinstall again, being sure to install to the default location that may resolve it.  If not call me on 01405 813665 I can log in and resolve that for you.

Allan.

All I can say now is sorry we let you down.  I perhaps could have followed up again to make sure you had got going, and again I can only apologise I didn't chase you.

Regards,

Allan.

No mate, you did not send to me such an email (if any was then I did not get it)
we were talking about getting on my computer to have a look and your last email was:

"Thanks, I'll ask our developer to have a look at this as soon as possible.  That might be tomorrow now but I'll definately get back to you asap.

Allan."

and you never back to me.
