A rant
« on: April 25, 2014, 11:31:24 am »
Stupid customer. I do her conservatory roof clean twice a year, that's it. Was due last week, but we had some 'heavy' rain and she cancelled (it wasn't heavy at all) so I re-booked her for today.

Guess what..its raining so I ring her up to see if she would like to try again next Wednesday, and she says its not raining heavy why cant you come? My reply was that you didn't want it cleaned last time as it was raining lightly, and today its proper rain and you want me to do it?

Shes like well its very inconvenient having to re-scedual again; so im like well if you hadn't of raised an issue to start with about a small amount of rain it would have been done by now. So she said, yes but if you had done it then, it would be raining today and it would have undone the cleaning you did on the day you first did it..

Im like what ???? ??? ??? ??? ??? ::)roll ::)roll ::)roll :o :-X

What is she on? Stupid cow

Booked in for next Wednesday. I think ill wai for the sun to come out, cancel and say it might rain tomorrow so its not worth doing.

The joys of having to deal with the public.
I wonder if all crimes were made legal for 24 hours how many customers would each of us kill.
I can think of a few I wouldn't mind emptying a machine gun into. ;D

Why rebook it? Do you need the work that badly?

As with all 'how much do you charge' threads, prices from £1 to £1,000,000 should be expected.

For me-£50 for an existing customer to do the roof.
£100 for non-customers.

I think that because today she didn't seem to mind it being done in the rain I would of just gone and done it.
It's an ideal job to do on a rainy day anyway, the job would of been done and dusted then.

Yes.

3 booked in for next week. £140, £120 , £180 (p shaped). The first 2 the customers said yes so quickly it made me think I could have got £20-£40 more.

I did one this morning for a new customer. £60 in the pouring rain. Made it easier than usual.

Hate conservatory roof cleans anyway, hers is basicly a small one; but for 2 cleans a year I cant be hassled with it. its a pain getting it into the scedual as im too busy with the quality work really.

I would have cleaned it in the rain if she hadn't made such a fuss over it the 1st time round; and calling up to check because it was raining again on the rescedualed date was kind of a no-brainer.

I re-booked it because that's the kind of person I am, I don't like letting people down. but I might just send her a letter saying I cant cater for her requirements.

Marc maybe could have said that the wweather is a pain but that the rain would actually help with cleaning the roof
but will Re schedule for next times clean; next month or whatever schedule she's on.

Just say I would love to do it this week for you.
Window cleaning is what I do and I want to do your conservatory this week
But unfortunately if you cacel your slot I cannot get back till your next scheduled clean as I am
Fully booked.

If you bend over for some they will break your back.

I would be certain to charge very high on the first clean. My experience of these is that next time you schedule a visit it won't be "convenient".

Little tip on electric gates.

We have a few customers with electric gates. Everyone of them has a hidden button, most are door bell style. Press the button and it opens gates!
