Hi Steve,

Currently taking input (functionality + packaging) on the franchising front from both new and experienced franchisors if you're interested in helping get this right for yourself and other franchisors? Please get in touch if so - rob@cleanerplanner.com. Otherwise please do watch this space - I'll be announcing details over the next couple of weeks once everything's firmed up.

Rob

Hi Steve, hopefully you will see Robs reply, we were heavily involved (along with some others) in the beta and development with rob on CP, and I cannot recommend highly enough how great Rob is to work with, he will listen to your ideas and preferances and do his very best to get a franchise set up to suit how YOU work, deffo worth investing a bit of time with him and get something you can work with . He works fast .

Never argue with an idiot, they will only bring you down to their level, and beat you with experience

Thanks Steve - look forward to it.

Spoke to with Matt @ Pure last week and gather there are a few of you (in different stages of franchising) looking at options - really keen to make CP a no-brainer for you :)

Technically not too much to do. Seems essentially you need an admin panel where you can set up and oversee franchisee accounts. As I said to Matt I could have this ready in 1-2 weeks.

Then there's the reporting side as you mentioned where your input would be handy. Also pricing in terms of making sure CP is viable and scalable for the franchisor.

Look forward to hearing form you!

Hi Rob,

Sounds great.

How long will it take for you to turn around that file for me?

Will see if I can email it over tomorrow.

Hi Lee,

Absolutely.

If you sign up for the free trial and pop me your latest George backup I can import your jobs into one main round initially.

Then, using the Move to Round button in Cleaner Planner you simply check the jobs and move them to the new round with a couple of clicks.

There's also a Bulk Edit tool so you can modify schedules (e.g. switch to 6/8 weekly), opt multiple customers in for SMS reminders etc in one go.

Any further questions just give me a shout :)

Hi Simon - which ones have you whittled it down to? Samsung Galaxy Tab might be a good option if you are looking to go for a decent brand - prices around the £100 mark so a bit cheaper than the Kindle Fire you were looking at (and I imagine the Kindle will be nagging you left and right to watch pay per view movies on Amazon and whatever!)

ive been using a nexus 7 for a few days and has been fine although have gone back to my phone for now as i use the nexus at home and don't really want to get it all dirty or damage it, but i think i'll get a second hand one for CP and work as they are well built and should handle a few knocks etc.

I brought one of those really cheap ones from ebay (but review on amazon) only a few days in but it seems fine :) The app is very good and saves me time at the end of the day as all filled in :) Great stuff and it keeps getting better

Nearly every time I go on, something new is on, it's just getting better.

I decided against those cheapies due to the reviews, so £85 for a refurbed Hudl from eBaymseemed a good compromise. Hoping it will arrive today so I can get the supervisor to do everyone's sheets on it. Keen to get the app moving as that will be a huge time saver for me.

hi concept,

Yes i brought it then read the reviews, so had little hope, but it is ok so far, I will probably due what you have done and ger a hudl or similar for the other vans, early doors with the app but all good, I am very pleased with the reduced admin at end of day already.

Glad the app + tablet is paying dividends :)

I've also been working on some improvements to the worksheet page following feedback that it was running a bit on the slow side when showing lots of jobs (e.g. 50-100). Will soon (probably later today) run much quicker with no delay as you check off jobs as done, missed and paid as I've worked out a way to do the job re-scheduling, balance calculations and auto-saving in the background rather than hold you up. So for those who prefer paper worksheets you'll soon be able to blast through your end of day data entry at whatever pace you can handle ;)

Hello Rob,
Can you tell me about the accounting side of Cleaner Planner. Does it have the capability to print of a VAT return?

Some nice little tweaks with the mobile app last week, another good one to come.

No issues to report with Hudl yet for those looking for a reasonable tablet.

Hello Rob,

Hi Inspire - the accounting side is quite similar to WCP, so you have an Accounts tab where you can view daily, weekly and monthly totals charged and collected.

You can also view a profit and loss report with income broken down by service and expenses broken down by category.

You can't generate VAT returns (yet) but the Accounts tab does breakdown by VAT so by setting the date range to your last quarter you should be able to grab the figures you need.

Feel free to drop me an email if you have any further questions or would like me to help you get up and running on the trial - rob@cleanerplanner.com
