Flushing??
« on: April 22, 2014, 09:12:02 am »
Can someone explain the process of flushing as im not sure that i do it right??.

Tap to prefilters to 4040 membrane to resin to tank.

There isnt a switch or bypass or anything to flush like on my 450gpd so i just turn waste on full with next to no product water coming out.. Is this correct??.

Only had this ro for 8 months and the water used to come out at 10-15ppm but is now 40 which for near £300 for a membrane that cant be right only lasting 8 months.. What am i doing wrong??.
I change the 2 10inch filters every 3 months, should i change them more often??. Currently making 5000 litres a week.
Cheers.

Just leave waste tap fully open so water comes out of waste pipe, and you will probably get a small dribble from the purified water outlet pipe.
