Airlock
« on: April 17, 2014, 06:37:50 pm »
Hi guys, I think I might have an air lock in my pure freedom trolley , it occasionally keeps spluttering and the pressure keeps slowing right down ,
I'm guessing it's sn airlock as the pure freedom trolley is only about 5 months old,
Can anyone help what it could be and how to rectify it?

Bloody hate air locks. I'm not sure on trolleys but I have to take the hose off which goes into my hose reel, turn pump on and let water run out. Do it for around 10 seconds and should be ok 👍

Put your inlet in a barrel
Disconnect your first connection after the pump
Turn on pump and put flow on full
It should kick in after around 5-10 seconds
Reconnect pipe
Jobs a good un'

You'll get a few airlocks using a trolley, you'll soon get the knack of getting rid of airlocks

Edit : you'll get the air lock when your barrel runs out of water so therefore your pump starts drawing air instead of water
Why don't you have a quick google before making stupid comments?

Thanks will try that out.
Was worried it could be the pump on the way out .
But surely pump shouldn't go after only 5/6 months of use?
Thanks for advice much appreciated
