LWB too long?
« on: April 16, 2014, 07:24:28 pm »
Evening chaps. Looking at a LWB vivaro for a two man set up. I do a fair bit of town driving. Do you think this van is going to prove a nightmare for parking etc or not too big an issue?
Ps It's needs to be the 2.9t version no matter what

We use a LWB Vivaro - 2 man system...

The 650L tank is in the middle of the van, so we window clean out of the back and the other side of the tank where the side loading door is is for the gutter vac etc...

It works well... I don't find it too long at all (now I'm used to it).

I have to change from a combo and was worried about lwb.

The difference between a swb and lwb on a vivaro is less than 2ft, its nothing to worry about :)

There is only about 1/3 of a meter difference between lwb and swb.
I have the lwb and i am yet to struggle

Ah great.  i'm getting a lay flat tank to cover nearly the whole floor so i'll have loads of space on top for other equipment and the bikes on the weekend etc.
Cheers for the replies chaps.
Certainly seems like a challenge parallel parking though!

You could always buy some reverse cameras off ebay for about £50

On our swb,  we have reversing sensors which make it a doddle to park, so I presume the lwb has them also.
