My first day with Gardiners Extreme 25
« on: April 14, 2014, 08:01:01 pm »
Had my Gardiners Extreme 25 delivered today, so I used it this afternoon on a few houses.
My initial thoughts are:
1. It is noticeably lighter than my SLX 22
2. It is stiffer (and more controllable than my 22)
3. It has a longer closed length (which is annoying, actually very annoying).
I am one of those naughty cleaners who uses an Aqua-dapter on the end of the pole (sorry Alex) and the all the pole does is highlight how heavy the Aqua-dapter is. Ironic but there you go. (I have tennis elbow so I need all the help I can get).
It's a damn good pole there is no doubt.
Clamps I have no issue with, also the clamping points: top, middle or bottom...all good.
Oddly enough, I loved my 22 SLX and at the moment it just highlights how good the 22 SLX is for the money.
So in an ideal world I would have a 22 Extreme with the same closed length and a viable alternative to the Aqua-dapter (and yes I have tried every combination...of everything).
Give me a few more days to get used to it and I am sure it will become my soul mate.  ;D

I think Dazmond uses an aquadapter with his Extreme

its a joy to use! ;D

i also use it for conny roofs,f/s/g cleans with sill brushes.

Second day and it's definitely getting better and better. I think i've got used to it now. It just fits in my swb connect van (which is good) and I'm getting more used to the extended closed length. I will probably buy a short CLX to clean bungalows etc. The lightness and rigidity of the Extreme is very apparent with every clean.
Bearing in mind the Extreme is twice the price of an SLX, is it twice as good? I think the SLX is very good value for money.  ;D

Richard mate, how you doing? Sorry I'm keeping my old SLX as a backup in case I stuff this new one through a car window or something!  ;D

Good to see you on here pete, I've just replaced my CLX 22 with a new one, it only lasted nearly 4 years in almost daily use ! I want to save up for a slx 30 but there's always something to pay out for! We must catch up soon.
