I think that's a good price too.

Lost count on roof quotes this week.

Some think £80 is bargain, others think £30 is a rip off.

I quote what i want to be paid.

I always sell it as

"you aint had the roof cleaned in 10 years, and all i want is £80!"

How much was this conservatory? Works most of the time ;)

the average conny roof takes between 60 mins and 90 mins in my experience so why would you only charge £35? ::)roll

£50- £60 min i charge.

they are harder work than normal routine window cleaning too.these prices are for regular window cleaning customers.

one offs start at £80.
price higher/work harder!

In my experience and i have been wfp a fair few years  ;) i can do a small roof in about 35 mins if it was a minger i would charge more but still prob only £50 But tbh its futile talking pound notes without knowing the size and condition of the roof.

I will clean a small roof, and I mean not much more than a lean to, for £40, but a normal conservatory starts at £60. I can't remember the last time anyone said no. But if they did, then I would just shrug. I can only just keep up with work anyway.

CLEANCARE when you work for yourself there is only so much work you can get through in a month as you know.

i dont care whether i get the work or not to be honest as i have plenty to keep me going.loads of regular customers have had their roofs cleaned or f/s/g cleans at £50-£60 a pop in the last few years.

i have a few booked in this month.one of em £20 windows,£30 solar panels,£50 f/s/g clean.so £100 for 2 hours work.im happy with that.

30 mins windows

30 mins solar panels

60 mins f/s/g clean

IMO its a premium add on service to complement my maintenance window cleaning.i think im at the lower end of pricing for these jobs compared some  guys.

Surly they would then feel cheated if you've planted the half a days work in their head for you to complete the job in say, 2 hours.
I try never to give a time of how long the job will take as it lets people think your earning a fortune hourly.

But it is half a days work Tony.

If you are on the glass 2 hours you then have to drive there, set up and pack away and take at least some thing extra such as detergent or stiffer brush. You always have to do the sides as well.

Add to that it's always harder work than w/c and so it feels like more!

In my book that 2 hours becomes three in total and I only work 6 hours a day generally! ;D

I have just made a decision to charge properly for conny roofs.

Except for the smallest of lean-to's I reckon £50 is a starting point for an existing customer and £75 for a non-existing.

Any sign of "green algae" and it's more.
It's a game of three halves!

id be gutted to only get £25 an hour for an add on job these days.

i agree with you about not telling customers how long it takes.they dont need to know.as long as the job is a good un and the customer is happy thats all that counts.
