new van and tank with pics
« on: April 09, 2014, 08:03:21 pm »

what do you guys use to board out the top of your roof ?as theres a lot of unused space and id like to build a rack to store my poles in nice and tidy!

well happy with the tank fitting!local garage charged me £100 and they had to take exhaust off and fuel tank to fit it.they also took towbar off for me and renewed a leaky injector hose!i gave them an extra tenner as im really happy with the job! ;) ;D ;D ;D ;D

Gutter piping for your poles
Why don't you have a quick google before making stupid comments?

The tank looks the wrong way round for  the frame you have, what stops the taking pinning you against the dash?

its handy having a side door for trad gear/getting fresh cloths etc! :)

this is my spring/summer set up.during the winter months ill fit my heater and hot reel and hose.

i cant believe just how much room there is in these vans!plenty for a sole trader!also the back end doesnt go down much with 450L of water in the back!unlike the kangoo!! :D :D

the top 2 frames over the tank are bolted into the bottom frame with thick heavy bolts and the bottom frame is fixed to van floor with 6 bolts and spreader plates.the tank sits inside the frame.

the frame itself must be 50kg on its own!! ;) :)

jonny i took the plylining out.the floor ply was soaked in petrol(from lawnmowers i reckon)and cleaned it all out.

i never had a massive problem with condensation in my kangoo and that had no plylining either.i will get a piece of MDF to mount my heater in winter though for the left hand side near the back doors.

Ah ok. I had condensation prob in my van but ply solved it.

Nice one, it's looking good. Just this year I went from caddy with 350 tank, to hiace with 650 tank. Can't believe I went for so long struggling with 350 litres of water. It's great knowing you've got plenty.
