ppm from 5ppm to 50 in one day??!!!

i checked ppm tues morn as it has been creeping up slowly but it jump from 5 to 50+ in 2 tank fills???!!!!


is this normal?????? i expected it to creep up but that jump caught me unawares

it caught me out today i had to go home and change resin in both di vessels

im di only

had that last week now I us the 25 ltr now when it starts to go I will swap to the 16 ltr then change the 25 and so on.

Assuming you are di only, then yes, it can go off that quick, especially if your tap water has a high ppm.

tap water ppm bout 88 mate

caught me out now as ive been watching it went bout 001 for couple wks, the 002 for couple more and so on then bang lol 55

Could you not get yourself a little ro setup? That's what I've done. Best thing ever.

88ppm is pretty high for DI only. I was 070 and went through resin quickly.

Now a bag of resin will last me a couple of years.  ;D

That resin does seem to have gone off pretty quick for 88ppm. When i was di only the water i was using was about 55ppm, and while it could go off quick, i wouldn't expect it to go to any more than about 20ppm during the course of a day (and that is only if i didn't notice, if i did, i would have changed it at 10ppm!). Until such times as you can get yourself an r/o system, you will just have to be extra vigilant with your tds meter!.

to be honest lads i wouldnt change from di as i reckon il get few months out of bag of resin, possibly 3 if i was flat out! im happy enuf with 3 months for 100 euro bag of resin
