Van insurance cost?
« on: April 08, 2014, 02:09:57 pm »
Hello,

How much are people paying for their van insurance with a named driver, all with no convictions/points.

Cheers,

Howdy Dean I've got the transit custom trend and I pay around £1100 but I have my son insured as a named driver. It's abit pricey that's because he's only 23 😳

Interestingly It was cheaper to add my wife as a named driver last year rather than just me.

It depends on whether you have a tank fitted.

Citroen dispatch, 43yr with a 40yr old named driver. Insured with prudential inc full no claims and tank fitted on policy=£305 including legal cover. The first year I've ever paid over £300 for insurance!

£700 per year. Myself and 1 named driver. Both with 6 points. 4 years no claims.

Seems to be dropping by £50-£100 per year as the no claims accrue.

That's very good Frank, I had to pay a extra £80.00 when I put the new van on the road.
Replacement van with system is very good. Definitely going to look around next renewal.

Depends what you drive if you have a brand new motor you will pay more than a 6-7 year old van . Mike
