good day guys?
« on: April 07, 2014, 08:29:29 pm »
first day working in new van(supposedly!). ::)roll ;D

i was nearly at my first job of the day and I had a blow out on back tyre with 300L in the back!!ive never had a blow out on a tyre EVER!! hole in tyre tread about knitting needle width! ::)roll

so pulled up straight away on busy main road.hazards on and changed tyre.the spare is a steel wheel and a different size but ok.it started raining really hard and the spare was covered in mud so i ended up covered in the stuff!! ;D

about 30 mins later i go to start the van and the batteries half flat with just the hazards flashing!so im trying to get the attention of a passing driver to jump start it(still raining hard!)waving my jump leads at everyone!no luck.so i go and try the van again and it started!(just!).

so off i went to halfords and bought a new yuasa battery with 5 yr guarantee and decided to sack the day off workwise.

got home and put workwear in washing machine and the machines playing up!after about 30 mins and a few hard kickings it starts working!

i dont think i should of got out of bed this morning lads!! ;D ;D ;D ;D
price higher/work harder!

I had my best earnings day ever. Poured with rain, put my waterproofs on and cracked on! Some customers came out and hugged me. Picked up three schools a couple of libraries, a University and a massive nursing home! Got home and jumped in the bath with my Extreme poles - gave them a good rub down with my Imperial leather soap. Got the Mrs to scrub my back with a medium mixed cill brush too. Jumped in my sports car and went off to the Ritz for a well earned evening meal.
Onward and upwards! Tally Ho, toodle pip!

Daz, the standard tyre size is 195/65 15 (the weight rating should be around 95), so you might want to look into whether or not the tyres on your van are suitable. Also, on my own connect, i have removed the spare from underneath and keep it in the back as the system for lowering it can be a bit problematic :-[

Renault, even that word sends cold shivers down my spine I still have horrendous flashbacks
from the time when I owned a Renault 5 and 21.
