One struggle with me is, is fulfilling time to go and look at work. Some people are impatient and want you there that day. I try my best around the work and some days like today left the lads cleaning 2 houses next to each other with a trailer and I went into town to meet.
I gain a lot of jobs by having them email or text images or using google street viewer which is good.

Main issue of managing the diary is you will always have to lie to someone. Not an issue with me, I don't give a ....! But you will have work booked in and you'll need to move someone for different reasons and the biggest reason will be bringing in a bigger job that can't wait 4 weeks but you want this job booked in 'cos it's a good payer or you know they'll be more work from them from other sites.

how do you find checkatrade lee? I joined in November and it's working fairly well. I'm finding that there not time wasters because they have took the time to check you out. It's not flooding in from it but get a few here and there and they don't mind paying your rates because they have already decided they want you to do it before you even give them the price

I'm with Lee, I never have time to go look at work, it's usually evenings when I go but I've worked late most days this week.
The majority of people want it doing ASAP, sometimes it bemuses me as in sure they think I'm just sat at home waiting for a job to come in.

I'm quite lucky that most of my work is within 4 miles of my home in my local town, (probably because all our work comes from leaflets and they only go out it that small
Area) so quoting is quite easy if I can't go between jobs I always suggest between 6-7 when the traffic has died down.

Got 4 to do this morning,

It might be that all my work is domestic so they tend not to be in to much of a rush, normally I can quote within a couple of days and do the job with a week

The long haired office general does mine and as such is also responsible for excuses when I forget  ;D
