Considering going over to Water Fed Pole? New

Considering going over to Water Fed Pole?

Things you need to consider.

First find out your tap water TDS (The total dissolved solids in your water). To do this you need a TDS Meter like this.

http://www.soapnational.co.uk/acatalog/copy_of_copy_of_Water_Feed_Items.html

Measure your tap TDS if your reading is 100 parts per million or more this is considered hard water, and a reveres osmosis system although more expensive will be far cheaper in the long run.
But also take into consideration are your on a water meter?  As an R/O can reject any ware form 5 parts waste to 1 part pure water. But some R/O work at 1 part waist one part pure.

Before ordering your R/O find out water your water pressure is, you may think its fine but many find out they need a booster pump to increase the pressure.

Gardiner provide a pressure gauge for you to do this link below.

If you would like to ask any questions simply ring us on 01726 61143 between office hours of 9am - 5pm and talk with Kirsty or email us..

If your TDS is below 100 pmm you can choose to go for a D/I system, this uses a Column. This is a vessel filled with a mixed bed resin and purifies the water with no waste.

You buy the resin in 25kg bags to calculate how much pure water you  can get from a bag of resin divide 5000000 by your tap water tds reading. This will give you how many ltrs of pure water a bag will give you.

Your choice

Backpack      Trolley system        Van mount.

Many on the site have a great knowledge of all the systems and will answer your questions.

Some have bought there systems form the top manufactures, others have chosen to build there own.

Finally if you are skeptical about water fed poles as I was my self, you need not be.

I thought if I could do the same amount in a day as I could traditional, with of course the same quality that would be great. But I found that after a time your work rate increased considerable.

But you still need traditional methods door ways inside porches, and over a roof if you cant get the angle with the pole, and of course insides. But you will find it a great tool.

I hope this helps.
