Been asked if i buy would buy a frame from the lad who's with me to help him with some trad work.

Got no problem in buying one, but he wants a fixed one. So a single pointer.

My only concerns are A I could buy one too small, or B to big Soooooooooo

Size it to whatever size jobs your doing, if u want it for conservatories then a 6 ft will do but if its 2 storey work ull need a extension ladder A frame,

Sorry i am retarded at the moment. Stressed with work!!!!!!!!!

This is for shop front work.

Car show rooms, large commercial jobs.

So wont be for domestic houses.

Do you know anyone who can lend you one? take it to work if its the right size buy one or gauge size from that.

Or do you have anywhere local that sells them? tell them your not sure what size you THINK you need. pay for it  take it try it if no good return and get size up or down.

Well looking online it seems its either 2 2.5 or 3 meters. So hardly a big choice lol.

I dont use em really, never liked em. The lad has come off a commercial round and told me what i need to buy and what i am doing round. To be fair he said get any a frame and it will be fine. I think its because you can kinda wack em anywhere with the point lol.

Six foot is a nice size, and get a wagtail and a short pole for it too; it's perfect for this type of work.

6ft or 8ft is best but depends on how high the jobs are.The top of the point should be as close to the top of the frame as possible,in my opinion you are better of using a trad pole for shop work easier and safer.

Gonna go for a 6ft one, because i can always use it for gate unlocking.

If there are no overhangs of porches or guttering to fit the ladder underneath i.e. Nice flat frontages, then I'd opt for largest single pointer you can get.

I'm not a fan of the wagtail a simple unger squeegee and t bar is all you need.soap up window and pull the blade down could not be easier.
If you are looking for an a frame I buy from midland ladders or try Ramsey ladders.

I hear what you are saying about just pulling the blade down but a couple of places are not that easy todo. I now see why i didnt take on commercial in the first place lol

8ft single pointer.i have one.comes in handy for unlocking gates.thats it these days!

a short trad pole with a unger vice versa or normal mop and squeegee would be good too.mine only gets used on my girlfriends upper shop windows as i have no shop work!

I've found 7' 6" is about the best size.

8ft, ideal for using upside down on steps as well, reaches most windows, most practical. Better too high than too low.
