Need to moan...sorry
« on: March 10, 2014, 07:24:58 pm »
Hi guys,
I just need a rant so im sorry in advance.
I did an EOT job on a 3 story house that was well in need of a clean and I totally killed myself doing it, but I love my work.
Got a call this morning saying they wasnt happy about a few bit and could we pop over and look, No problems I said trying to wrack my brains.
We got there and she realled off a list from washing machine to doors knowing full bloody well try have been done. I am going back tomorrow to re-do the jobs. Really pees me off when people do crap like that. Thank you x

You'll get them people don't worry about it. I had one about three week ago who actually pointed at a hair on the sideboard, a bloody hair! She then point at three crumbs in the corner of the room and a single piece of white fluff on a dark carpet and said 'I don't even think these carpets have been vacuumed'. Absolutely unreal, I was lost for words.

Invoice her as normal

Then when not paid take her to small claims court

You have met a "professional" complainer who goes thru life complaining and thinking she does not have to pay for goods or services.

DO NOT LET HER HAVE YOUR HARD WORK FOR FREE !!!

you fill a form in online .. small claims or what ever its called these days ... if you loose they cant claim costs so no downside to you bar the cost of doing it which im sure you get back WHEN you win .... even if you loose (which you wont if all paperwork for job in order) the upside is the stess the silly cow will go through  ;D

also look up Thomas Higgons ... letter before action for £2 ... http://www.thomashiggins.com/ ... oh to see her face when one of these lands on her doormat  ;)

You poor thing. I had one woman last year who beat me down on price on the premise that they would be cleaning after I had left from quoting and that there wouldn't be that much to do.. (I lived and learned with this one..) Of course they downed tools once they had recruited an idiot of a cleaner..
Got there the following week to find nothing had been done . So ok I thought, take it on the chin, make sure I get it in writing what they will do if the situation ever arises again..
So I bust a gut cleaning of layers of grease.. the mouldiest bathroom known to man..
I got a call saying not good enough. Went back and got the hairdryer treatment for.
1)Leaving concrete on an old quarry tile (she actually stood over me and said'You need to scrub harder' wtf?
2) not getting the grout of the walls (a slapdash tiler many moons ago left residue)

I did get paid (a pittance) but I was told that she would go back to the agent and tell them how poop my company were.
At this point I told her I didn't give a fig if she took out a full page advert in the Times I wasn't doing anything further and to never contact me again.
I still do work for that agent!! She can bugger off! If she finds a new cleaning company this year she will hopefully realise what a good deal she had.

Hi!  I'm fairly new on here and only posted a few times!  It is unbelievable how arsey some people are!  I'm researching EOT cleans at the mo as just about to start doing some.  I'm pretty nervous and hope not to come across too many people like that!  What I have found through doing regular domestic cleaning is that people want something for nothing.  One lady called me and wanted to pay no more than £6 ph so I told her below minimum wage and good luck to her as won't find competent cleaner who is fully insured for that price.
