Hopefully in the next few weeks will be purchasing a 4040 system.
The pressure entering will be 40 psi so will need a booster pump, can anyone recommend one.

Bobski when I was looking at getting the 4040 this was the one that was recommended, but pricey but probably one of the best booster pumps on Z market

Iam looking myself for my 4040 ro just moved house and the pressure is really low it took about 10 hours to make about 300 Ltrs  the cold water tap in the kitchen is really slow aswell and iam on a meter

If you have a shut off solenoid on you tank, the control unit will sense the pressure build up and turn the pump off. Also if the water supply to the pump stops the control unit will also sense that and again turn the pump off.

So as long as you dont mind switching the pump on and off yourself you can get away with not have the unit?

I bought one of these in 2005/6 ,replaced the control unit once, still going strong used average 3 days a week for about 2 hours a time.  Price hasn't changed much in that time so for 9 years work that's less than £1 a week.  Buy one.  You won't regret it.

dont no what size fittings are involved not had a good look, probably 1inch fittings

I purchased 1" to 3/4" BSP Brass Hexagon Bushes for my Clarke pump to accept 1/2" hose pipe and fittings.
