turnover/ profit

i guess this is for wfp guys .wfp set up can be expensive. and got me wondering,  the money you guys earn what percentage is expenses. i.e. van running costs,insurances,  advertising . equipment. water. etc . a window cleaner who i spoke to prior to starting up estimated at 60 /40.  ???  any thoughts?  thanks in advance

The ratio will depend on your turnover. A one man operation will have fixed costs - van, insurance, home/office etc while other costs like fuel, resin etc will rise with the amount of work, but in general these costs are lower than your fixed costs.

So, when starting it might be 50:50, but if you are full it might be 80:20 because your fixed costs will stay the same.

Last year I ran at 68% profit. According to my accountant.

Once you have the system up and running your expenses wont be much more than a trad
cleaner unless your on a water meter or using a hot system.

Hmmm.. Most trad guys work out of the family saloon. A dedicated van is a major cost.

Family saloon and a trailer system I know of two guys who work

this way without any problems.
I know a trad guy that works out of a van. There will always be exceptions.
