« on: February 25, 2014, 09:01:39 pm »
Anyone an here have work whereby a few jobs maybe a bit distance away from where you are however those jobs form part of a larger contract or portfolio with one company whereby other work is much closer to you .. Frequency bi monthly

If so how do you deal with any issue that may come up with the ones further a field ..

Just starting to have issues with a one further away ..  they are always rude and impolite too I get  the feeling they are nit picking but ain't giving them the satisfaction so will go back this time ..

I have this problem with a contract we have. I sub a little bit of the work that's difficult for us to get to to a member on here who works closer to the work. Although it's not loads of work, it seems to work well for all concerned.

If somebody is rude to you when your working on their property make a complaint if needs be
put it in writing.
Most firms take harassment very seriously as they don't like bad publicity.
Yes they might not renew your contract but who cares, I don't know about yourself but one of the reasons
I like being self employed is that you don't need to take crap from jumped up little Hitlers.

Good on you for taking no crap and being your own boss etc.

However sometimes, especially on multi site contracts, you have to deal with certain individuals who you may not particularly like or respect. I certainly have to on a couple of my contracts.

Making a complaint in these situations will be like biting the hand that feeds you.
