What exactly are you after mate? You can get machines mounted on skids, brand new they are pricey. They come up occasionally on ebay etc.. or do you just want a petrol/diesel machine (single cyl standard Honda/Yanmar engine) bolted into the van and plumbed into a tank?

If its the latter, its easy enough to diy it.

If your only wanting a mobile PW but bolted into your van, why not just keep it mobile?

Most of the skid mounted washers are 20 something horsepower, and heavy, and large, hence why they are skid mounted, because you wont/cant move them.

If you only using a smaller engine, keep it mobile, leave it in the van for jobs, but you have the option to take it out. decent hose reel (on wheels or out of the way in the van) Tank. simples.

Go for a decent spec Honda with a 21LPM pump but with a decent reel and hose of about 60m .. not perhaps van mounted but if I wanted I can get a cage fabricated to make it van mounted.

Water tank fitted pre filled so can pull up to job and start straight away.

If I can afford it I will look at diesel power.

Good engine but not big enough to run the pump (and to be mobile). You could run a Gx390 11hp petrol but that will only just be big enough. That or go Briggs or kohler single... twins are too thirsty.
We have built 20 lpm @250 bar single cylinder machines..economical and way more powerful than ws 201's.
As well as being more compact and lighter. Good on fuel but with big machine out put....£10/15 a day.

The OP is for a truck mounted washer - why on earth would you even consider anything other than diesel. I have a twin cylinder water cooled lombardini that is quiet, economical and still fits on a standard trolley. I have taken it off the trolley to mount it on my trailer (Wallace) but I need a second machine (Grommet) so I have dragged an old Robin out of the back of the shed and will mount that on the trolley to give a second diesel machine for gum. I have a perfectly good GX390 and a couple of Kohler v twins (one has a gas conversion kit) but diesel is sooo much cheaper. Chris you obviously do a small amount of pressure washing the fuel dos'nt matter. The fuel savings paid for the new machine in its first year - petrol is £1.37 and red is 87p less 5% vat

He says he has gone off the van mounted idea.  Twin cylinder watercooled ...would not like getting that in and out of the van all day.  ;D Let alone dragging through somebodys conservatory into the back. The robin wont run      21lpm will it? The gx 390 is 11hp so that will hardly run full tilt either.

I used to get the Lombi in and out of the van with a ramp ok. I have only once ever had to go through a house with a washer but If I had to I would either just run a long hose through or choose a smaller machine from the fleet. Chris why do you keep on about running nothing but Honda petrols when they are clearly expensive to run - we aim to make a profit and having invested in the correct equipment reap the rewards in fuel savings - I expect you drive a Thames Trader or have you got a diesel van ?

No I have an Austin Morris K9  ;D ;D
The little petrol engines arnt that bad on fuel....granted diesels are better. But that comes at a price. We have had this conversation before ;) If i was cleaning Car parks or big industrial units... diesel. Around the houses lightweight powerful petrols. The new machine is even better on petrol than the Honda (which is not that bad compared to the work it does) . The gx390 is 11hp so is running flat out ..the 14hp is less stressed and putting out more water at a higher pressure than the old ws202.
