Really dont understand the mentalenty of you lot,

were no different from joiners etc providing a service,

guys I now use dewalt or makita, never seen any use black and decker.

They choose the best because it is more economically viable!

You cant afford a couple days wages on most important piece equipment you will ever own.

Anyone using a clx or similar is deluded thinking there health wont suffer.
My health hasn't suffered from using a clx 18, if you haven't got the strength to lift one there is a problem somewhere else.

It the risk of later on in life that's why with repeat RSI

No matter what pole you get within reason,if you are prone to
RSI it will happen, its the repetitive action of what you are doing
which affect the joints not necessarily the weight of the pole again
within reason for me its far more inportant whats on top of the pole
weightwise.

Chap down the road from me uses a slx has had loads of issues
joint pain trapped nerves in neck elbows etc.

Me i use ali poles heavier and dont have a problem

The way i imagine most people use poles will cause imbalance
in muscles and cause joint pain.

Personally i have good core strength change the position
i clean from regulary and my leading hand and never overstretch
infact the less movement in the arms the better and rocking
motion between feet with hands not going above the chest helps
the whole body take the strain(what strain there is ;D) rather
than just the neck shoulders and elbows.

I agree gazza.
People get RSI in their hands from using a computer.
That's not strenuous.

Then you need to take the repeat action off individual parts and
channel as much as you can through the whole body.It does
work,i have lost tendons and ligaments in my shoulder joint in
a motorbike accident and i still pole relatively easily.
