I brought a second hand one, hardly used, a couple of months back and it gets plenty hot and is easy to set up and quick to heat up (5 mins approx).  Don't use it on every job just the really bad e.o.t, does the trick for me :)

I am currently on my 4th heat and run in 10 years, this one will be my last, been fixed a couple of times, had to get the bottom connector sorted, as the brass is very brittle and it sheared off.
Have also had to bypass the 2 thermostats, which means you have to wand constantly or it starts to boil  :-\.

I originally purchased one from Edd Valentine, but it was too short, so  was able to get a much longer one from a pal of mine  in Gateshead, its called a cold tail rated at 3kw its and its about 30 inches long
it has a cage at the end around the heating element it dosent have a thermostat but obviously you just switch it off or remove it when it gets to the desireable temp

Stuart the one i brought had only been used a couple of times and was like new.  I paid £400 (no vat) i think from memory they are around £450 + vat on Cleansmart website so in the region of £540.  Not seen that many on the second hand market though and when they do come up they tend to sell quickly.  In my opinion a well built and sturdy piece of kit.  I would guess you will also get hotter water out of the wand as you can locate heater on last 25 meters of hose assuming you have more, i have 50m and 25m so run it 25 meters from wand so you loose less heat, also as your not having hot water pass through your pump you will be prolonging your pump :)
