Making my system water tight
« on: February 18, 2014, 08:09:04 pm »
Hi all.

I seem to be having a nightmare right now making my system, from resin tanks to hose water tight. The connectors in the top of the resin tanks are the yellow hoselock type, all new, as are all the other connectors.

Despite this, once the pressure has built up from my sureflo 100 psi pump I get drip, drip, drip, with the pump kicking in every so often.

This is causing the pressure switch to burn out.

The lads at Varitech have suggested brass connectors; something I'm considering.

Any other suggestions would be welcome.

cheers.

Hoselock fittings were never designed to take 100psi. I use Rectus 26ka. Google it.
They're eeeting the dogs.
They're eeeting the cats.
They're eeeting the pets,
of the people who live there.
