15" rotary accessories
« on: February 14, 2014, 05:13:52 pm »
Hi guys, just picked up a 2nd hand one which came with d/board, 2x white mf bonnets, a wool bonnet and a green with blue scrub stip bonnet.

What i am in need of to get me going is a 15"brush for agitating low profile carpets and also a wringer bucket.

I was unsure which grade of brush to go for, its a victor machine and see they do a white shampoo brush and also blue/black brushes. I also see people talking about different coloured floor pads for agitation, what would be the best for my needs?

I have not done any bonnet cleaning since going solo but have done a few for a previous firm where we just used multi pro by prochem. this was a few years back and felt it was a very basic 1  for all appoach to cleaning.

I also want a wringer bucket, i dont want one too big as the vans getting a little cluttered now.

Regards
Lewis

You dont really need a brush for agitation. That Green/Blue pad will be sufficient.

Is it the Sprite model of machine do you have?

If buying the brush get the white one.

Best not use Multi Pro for bonnet cleaning there are much better alternatives. In fact if you use more modern encapsulation products then you could get away with just a sprayer and the scrub pad. No need for the bucket. Its a bit old school.

Thanks for the reply Jamie.  Its a victor wolf 400 180 rpm I am told.

To be fair I used it with the blue/green pad to agitate a looped pile today which was pretty bad,but I had previously cleaned last year. I was a little underwhelmed at the agitation performance while operating it but the end results after rinsing at 400psi and max heat were alot better then the previous clean I had done. The customer was impressed last time but this time she was gobsmacked. I have upgraded portys since then but there was alot of larger soiling evident on the pad which even a good pre vac hadnt loosened.

I have another similar job in a weeks time and also a low profile office tile job which I got the machine for. The encap will probably be just the ticket for that one.
