What are you going to scrub with it? I found the black brush too soft to scrub, the orange brush once worn in did a better job of agitating carpets.

Mainly for agitating.  managed to get hold of a company who sells them.  Had mine for 4 months.... a lot of carpet agitation.  Just looking a bit thin ( I wish I was).

Is there an in between brush. The black one is soft the orange one hard, surely its not rocket science to produce something in between.

Darren, I don't know anyone who uses the black brush for aggating carpets it is too soft, have you tried the orange brush? I would even think the pad holder & pad would scrub the carpet better than the black brush.

Wayne the orange brush needs to be worn in, it needs to be used on concrete when new to slightly bend over the brissles.

I will buy one and give it a go.  A few others do use the black brush.  I havent had any issues with the black brush.  Is the orange brush okay on wool carpets?

I used mine on everything, but it does need wearing in or it bounces & skips over the carpet

Darren

Try the active bonnet, much better than the brush IMHO

might seem a silly question but when using the acctivia bonnet to adgitate does it need damping or spraying first or is it ok to use dry on top of a presprayed carpet

Simon you should never use a pad or brush on dry carpet or it could damage the pile, it needs to be used on a pre-sprayed carpet. :)

Darran, best value around when I bought mine.

I always give it a good spray on bonnet with the cleaning solution I use for the job.
