Moss on Tarmac
« on: February 11, 2014, 07:06:01 pm »
I've got a lot of pw to do for a very good customer some of it block paving which is no problem and some of it Tarmac again no problem but some of the Tarmac has a lot of moss on it

What's the best way to handle this as I'm a bit concerned that just using high pressure might damage the Tarmac.
Is there anything I can put on it first that will help

Thanks

Put a fan nozzle on Dave

Get some bags for the crap and a stiff broom/shovel.

Clean as normal - you could go across it the opposite way or put a FSC across it when you're done.

No, they're metal panals coated with crushed stone chips with acrylic over-glaze(when new)Turbo rips the coating off.

I did a job recently which had a lot of moss on, I used a snow shovel to scrap the top of the moss off, because the shovel is plastic it did not damage the surface and certainly stopped it turning in to a mudfest.
