Think I've finally killed the duo , its making some bad noises. Cant complain had it years and its done some work. Had a look on sebo site but cant find them, have they stopped making them?
If they have what would you recommend for domestic carpet agitation?

If you can afford it then a tm4
They will seriously cut the mustud  and there a massive step up from a duo

It is possible to repair the duo (sometimes) they do get very bunged up inside. From memory we've replaced drive belts and a bearing so it might be worth taking it apart before you bin it. Having said that anything resembling a heavyweight CRB is going to be such an improvement. We found a "pre-loved" Enviro dri E40 (the metal case version) and it is just great. Selection of brushes and you ready for just about anything.

Probs a slipping belt, they do get stripped of their teeth if the get too bunged up

I 've had it in bits a number of times for cleaning and repairs, its the bearings that have started to sieze  so as said replacing parts is an option. I realise the real CRB machines are 'better' but have found for normal domestic the duo does the job and is light. Any mingers or commercials get the rotary and zebra scrub pad.

I have had problems with mine changed one set of bearings cleaned up the set checked that is working ok changed the belt on the new bearing set but it works great for about 30 seconds then the new belt simply pops off no idea why at the moment any ideas

I bought a sebo duo couple of weeks back and I've done 4 jobs with it for agitation but what's the best way to clean it? I sit there for ages picking all the hair and fluff off the brushes , anyone know an easy way to clean it? Thanks

Neil turn it upside down, switch it on and run a fork over the brushes. Or use a hose on your extraction machine..
PS . I have a sebo duo for sale if anyone's interested  £140 plus delivery. 2 years old and not used a lot

I thought you cleaned them on the edge of the next customers stairs

I have never found any quick way that cleans it that well. I take the brushes off every 2 jobs and wash then in warm water then brush/scrape/pick out the debris.

You also get quite a  build up behind the brushes in the "wheel arches" and this needs to be cleaned out.
