Sitting in B & Q car park having a cuppa,notice one of my customers ( stuck up and miserable woman )

" Hello Mrs x, how are you ?

" Oh hi Tony, when are you coming to clean my windows ?"

" Actually I did them last tuesday, I texted you but you didnt reply " ( she never replys because she is stuck up !)

" You said you would be there in the morning but you didnt turn up"

" I got there just after 12 but you werent there, I cleaned them and put a note thru the door "

" No you didnt !" There was no note and you didnt clean the windows"

" I am sorry i did clean them and I DID put a note thru the door "

" You cant have cleaned them the windows were open !"

" Yes a small window was a jar but I turned down the flow and cleaned it"

She look at me angrly " I dont believe you " and walks off.

I drive after her and stop the van and jump out

" Are you saying I lied Mrs X ? "

"I am not happy, you need to be there when you promise " she shouts walking away

" So what about my invoice ?

" Text me it" she replies
" Its the normal £40

Ten minutes later I text

Mrs X
I will collect tomorrow and its cash only


She replies: Not happy with windows did not know they had been done. Cheque is my payment method

I replied: Actually forget the money. Dont ever talk to me like an idiot,I am not one and dont ever accuse me of trying to charge you for work not done. The reason the windows dont look clean is because the rest of your house has never been cleaned in years. I had wanted to remove you from my customer list for a while, today is a the perfect opportunity

I had a txt from a customer this morning saying thank you for cleaning their windows but they wont be needing my services again. Thing is, i had only done the 1st clean, almost a month ago!. I did compose a slightly acidic reply, along the lines of wasting my time, and if i had known she only wanted one clean, i wouldnt have done it, but in the end, i just deleted it!. After all, there is nothing to gain in my being nasty about it, its just one of those things. Just forget 'em, and move on.

I've had a few grumpy custies on Fairfield Park recently Tony...

One text me "Again! I'm waiting for my windows to be cleaned.. When will you be coming". (I'm 2 days late on a 7 week round).

Turned up 2 days later as agreed - cleaned - got paid and sacked her there n then.

Oh the joys of window cleaning, carried on cleaning her neighbours with a big smile on my face for remainder of day.

Happier day tomorrow 'cos I'm cleaning all the neighbours again!!

I'm bound to see her and give a cheery wave
