Email marketing
« on: January 19, 2014, 11:13:31 am »
Over the last week 3 of us have been surfing google collecting email address we now have 250, I want to mass email them all what's the best way to do it?

I have a mail chimp account but when I try and load them into it I get a 'syntax error' message.

I know this is spamming but I thought I would give it a test

I had someone telephoning commercial businesses for 8 hrs.  That should yield better results than emailing  ???

I got one invitation to quote.  :-[

Probably not the best time for contacting commercial clients. A lot are quiet at the start of the year and not in a spending mood. Springs probably best time as the light increases showing up the dirt more (its not called spring cleaning for nothing :)), artificial lighting does tend to hide it. Also a lot of budgets running out at the end of march before the new tax year. I am lead to believe that you have to hit a commercial customer 7 times before getting a response.

This is the email I'm going to send.....

Hi,
we did a mail-shot in December with some information about the free stain removal service we are offering during January ( we will remove any stain you have on your carpet free of charge )

We had a great response and it has helped us build up our customer base but it comes to an end in a couple of weeks, WOULD YOU LIKE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS OFFER.?

It's a genuine free service which we give to new clients. This gives us the opportunity to introduce ourselves and showcase our cleaning company.

Please feel free to check out our website www.henryhalliday.co.uk

Why not inspect your carpets and if you find any annoying stains spoiling your professional appearance please give us a call on 01482 805118

Henry Halliday

Ps: we also offer this free service on office chairs or upholstery
PPs: we also are giving 20% off our cleaning prices during the January/February slow season, please contact us for further details

Garry, great minds think alike,

what you can' t see in my post is the actual title of the email which combines. 2 of the example that you give :)

I wouldn't put remove any stain free of charge, which leaves you wide open if you can't remove it, maybe treating stains ?

To be honest Mike, it's pretty difficult not to use them. The list is for general internet marketing but there are a few surprises in there.

Actually these are stop words so what you are saying is don't use them, might have to rethink the title :-\

Steve, you could be right I might add a small disclaimer about not  being 100% successful.

I have just had an email from Thompson local offering 50 Free Ideal Customer Contact details .
I am not taking it up as I do not want to spend hours going through their Sales Pitch.

It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.
