how many of you would pay these prices you are quoting.          imagine sitting in your house on a friday night,  you answer the door, a man says  window cleaner.      that will be £20 please.

tell the truth,    what would your reply be after choking on your tounge. ;D ;D ;D.    your missus is not in.    would you pay.

TRUTH.     if you can get away with these prices good luck to you.      here in the north east   we like to keep hold of our money.
i hate asking them for payment when they owe twice.       especially when they say i didnt get a card.   its as if they think you are trying to pull a fast one.
lots of new areas going up around here.     im ready.  it could be the best thing to happen,    1000s of new houses getting planned in next year or two.               this is the main reason i will be investing in a decent van system.

The prices bar a few sound bang on. How much would you charge for a 3 story house then??

most full houses start at £5  upwards in middlesbrough.      if you get your price wrong there will be someone else canvassing who will do them cheaper.

then put them up ;D ;D ;D
£5 for the whole house!
Are you sure that is the average where you live or is that your average price??
Maybe if you traveled out 20 miles more you will gain better prices as thats what i have to do.

I have a minimum price now of £25, so that would be my price. But I do not need the work, as I have plenty of well priced jobs. But if I was starting out and desperate for the work, and I was hoping to get a lot of work on the same estate, I would probably go in at £15- £20. I did this when I first started out, on a new estate, and had almost 100 houses on this one estate. I don't clean any of them now though, as I prefer my well priced work! So don't go in too cheap, because you will soon get fed up of working so hard, for not much money!!

What???? £20 for that and you don't do any of them any more and you had a 100? that house is a 10 min house or less. That would be a £100 an hour  ::)roll

I think he is blagging because in his other thread he says he has to buy a £500 old volvo untill he can afford a van. Being stacked out with £25 houses would mean £500 would be a day or 2 days max work. Maybe he has a big gambling problem or he meant his prices are £2.50 and not £25.
Who knows.

What the hell, just read the thread. Im keeping my mouth shut lol, too busy today. But the quotes are great, ringing her soon. So will tell you the outcome and price :)

Not that is exciting  ::)roll

I never charge more for first cleans as i see the first clean as the investment clean to impress the customer so they will use me for the continueing future! Maybe im mugging myself off big style by not charging more. Fair play if all new customers go for it.

I used to work like that Mickey.
Got caught out one too many times by one offs though.
Almost always charge more for 1st clean now.
Still get caught out occasionally if I'm honest.
But never had someone say no to first clean price and lower regular.
Try it bud, they can only say no...

Wouldn't entertain new estates and try avoiding 3st town houses as too few windows and too small.

Oh dear, I have been back on here for 5 minutes, and the abuse has started already! I was just trying to offer some advice, and the best thing I ever did was to set a minimum price. Yes I have had some hard times recently and my work has suffered, I have been through a difficult divorce for one thing. I thought this place might have changed, but alas its still the same!! Goodbye, and goodluck everyone!!

Well priced the house at £14 every 8 weeks and £12 every 4 weeks.

She did say from the start she wanted 8 weeks.

To be TOTALLY honest 6 months ago I would have quoted £10 every 4 weeks and probably £10 every 8 weeks.

After reading on here for a few months I have come to the conclusion that we needed to price higher. I can 110% say we do a really good job on every house (complaints are in single digits ever year over hundreds upon hundreds of houses)

So in the short time i have been here i have learnt price higher and you will get it.

At £14 every 8 weeks she aint getting ripped off, they will be lovely and clean and we are insured and do a great job.

So win win.

PS i really wanted £15 but not got that CIU level yet hahah

Thanks for all the comments,

now off to count all my £25 houses

It isn't clear what the access to the back is like, but I would say £17 8 weekly. Might have been £15 6 months ago.

Came across two of his posts on a search for a water meter.

One posts says he uses 800L a day then he wants to buy a volvo estate. Too god damn funny.
