I never charge more for first cleans as i see the first clean as the investment clean to impress the customer so they will use me for the continueing future! Maybe im mugging myself off big style by not charging more. Fair play if all new customers go for it.

I used to work like that Mickey.
Got caught out one too many times by one offs though.
Almost always charge more for 1st clean now.
Still get caught out occasionally if I'm honest.
But never had someone say no to first clean price and lower regular.
Try it bud, they can only say no...
Will be hard asking for more than £10 for a front but i get what your saying to stop potential messers! A great way of looking at it, if i go on a mad canvas spree again ill certanly give it some thought.
Cheers.

Cool. Let us know how you get on.
For me, saying the first clean price then regular price all in one sentance and including something like 'obviously the first clean will take me MUCH longer than normal' seems to do it.
Even if you go £12 or £15 first clean then £10 monthly, it's an extra few bob and, as we all know, those few quids all add up!

But think of the hourly rate. Personally though, I refuse 16 weekly requests. I think 8 weekly is long enough. I get 6 and 12 weekly though.

Yeah... When I started out I offered 8 weekly - which most of my customers are... I have some 12 weekly and some 16 weekly, and a few OCD customers are 4 weekly... I like the mixture of frequencies as it keeps my round very flexible, I can move jobs around to suit the areas I'm going to be in on a particular day etc...

It was a lot of leg work building the business up using longer frequencies - but you can charge more which means more £ in the long run... It's been well worth it.

I can imagine its a gold mine and top respect to you. I havnt the patience to do that although from doing a little working out you must earn more from that round working it yourself than many others do with an extra van out working for them. You Defo have your head screwed on.
