Hi. Just purchased a car that has been standing out in the weather for the last few months and the upholstery, seatbelts and even steering wheel are covered in mould. Any ideas for their removal would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Pete, the car must be damp inside to be that mouldy. You should first find out if and where the water is penetrating. Could be blocked drain holes (very often below the windscreen) or entering through the boot or windows. It shouldn't be that mouldy just because it has been standing outside and not used. I use Bactoshield from Dry Fusion as I am a Dry Fusion user. Clean it off and put the air con on ( that will suck the moisture out of the car) Once dry and in use you shouldn't have a problem.

Bio Clean is a good product, you may want to think about also using Prochem Microsan or Chemspec Formula 429, these products will continue to kill bacteria and mould etc for weeks after

As a starting point you need to determine why car is damp inside.
dehumidifier and heat/ ventilation to dry out (will take some time to dry out foams/ soundproofing etc.
Rectify cause of moisture.
Then carry out treatments using advice.
