Pressure washer advice please for a newbie.
« on: January 08, 2014, 04:41:29 pm »
Hi im normally in the window cleaning section but am looking into ofering pressure washing as an add on. I have been told that a honda 5.5hp machine isnt powerful enough and that i need 15 lpm and 14hp. With so many machines to choose from im lost! Looking at spending £1000-1500 new or 2nd hand on a washer.
Whats the average price per square meter i should be charging where at least 50 percent of quotes turn into jobs?
Whats the best way to gain this sort of work?  To start ill be using my existing window cleaning customers.
Lastly house roof cleaning, what gear do i need to get into this?.

Cheers

I tend to price jobs of how long it will take me, however I price carpet cleaning per sqft so who knows which is best. You might just have to do by trial and error unless some people tell you what they charge per soft.
I'd say the minimum you need is what you stated, plus various hoses, lances, nozzles, flat surface cleaner.

Something like this
