Peugeot Expert Van
« on: January 07, 2014, 09:37:21 pm »
Hi. Sorry if this has been asked before; I've not been on here for a while.

At present I use a Transit fitted with a 400l tank and at the end of the month I'll be looking for another van as this one is knackered.

I've been looking at the Peugeot Expert and my local mechanic has even said they're decent vans.

I just wondered if there are any users of this van on here and what they think of them.

Many thanks.

I had 650l in mine
Still see it around town.
Loved it.

I didn't own it.
I worked for a mate, when i first started, drove it as my own but it was his.
I set up on my own
Went from the expert which i loved to a Citroën Relay which was terrible but came with the business

I have an old one, 2.0 hdi 52 plate, had it 5 years, galvanised and has shown no signs of rust and has been a reliable work horse, ok so it doesn't have electric windows or all the latest tech but i like it alot, gonna run it until its scrap. ;)
Early last year someone reversed in to the front wing, whilst being repaired insurance gave me a brand new nissan nv200 courtesy van, hated it, couldn't wait to get the pug back !

I've had three expert 2.0hdi all from new 05 08 61 on all thee I've had antil roll bar problems after a few months, also had a new fly when'll on 08  plate after 37000 miles, luckily for me all under warranty.

Don't let that put you off as once those faults had been sorted, all vans had been reliable and I find they are the perfect size for one man.
I have a 500l tank fitted, you wouldn't know it as van pulls weight without problems even up hill.

I was thinking about buying one too but I noticed when I went to view one last week there's not a lot of room in the cab especially if your tall like me!

How tall are you?!
I'm 6'1 and found it a really comfortable driving position...

I had the old shape expert, loved it.
Have the new shape Dispatch ,love that even more.
I Have the 2.0 hdi and it just pulls 600 litres plus all  the other bits n bob like it wasn't even there.
I love the 3 seats in the cab and love the two side loading doors.
This van drives like a BMW  ;D
Don't get the 1.6 version,waste of time
