Oh dear. Griff's jokes are terrible - no way he could get £900 a day with those puns.

I usually manage about £250 between 10 and 11am, have a break, and do another £250 between 11am and midday.

Then I have lunch, go to the gym, swim 20 miles, play a round of golf and buy a new SLX, before doing the long stint between 2pm and 4pm where I earn £350.

So for me, £850 and that's taking it easy.

we actaully did do a day over £800 just before christmas on regulars.  it's our biggest yet by far.  we were cramming work in so we could close down for 2 weeks over christmas.

that was 3 working from 1 van with 2 poles and a runner.

that's not our average daily rate, tho still pretty impressive i think  :)

You obviously gave them too long a lunch break otherwise u could have hit a grand  ;D

I love Griffs puns.
They always make me smile.
He puts some effort into them!

Yeah but the yanks don't have their windows cleaned every month do they.
(admittedly only 1 source) but i heard that they have them done yearly or twice a year in New Jersey.

I'm amazed how some of you on here earn what you say you do but yet have basic vans, poles and small tanks .
Can easily see through are few on here .

But there's a few on here that offer great advice , very knowledgeable and are very organised and run good businesses .

All the best for 2014

Sometimes it's the odd, small comment that also gives the game away.

I do agree though, that for all it's being slagged off on other unmentionable 'oh we are so nice to each other' forums, the amount of knowledge posted on here sometimes is staggering.

Wheres £0 to £50?
There is people doing houses for less than £4
I was thinking that for all the Scotish charging £3 a house

I've cleaned windows in a number of different regions in the UK and the prices vary within each area.
If you are going to slag people off at least get your facts right as well as your spelling. You are obviously a thick A***hole, although I would imagine you already know this about yourself.
It's no wonder window cleaners have the reputation we have with people like you about.
I've only just joined the forum and don't care if I get banned as it's pointless being on  a forum with a***holes like you on them.

Don't let the door smack you in the head on your way out.

Noticed you spend alot of time on here. Why don't you get a life???
Come back Terry,lol
Terry come back.

And before someone asks.. I'd charge £7 haha £9/£10 with conservatory. I can do 4 an hour £28 an hour is better than the £6.50 my mate earns packing crisps into boxes on a 12hour shift...

Joey by the time you pay for fuel, equipment, tax, van running costs etc your hourly rate wont be far better than your mates.
If you work out the costs involved in running your business and take them off your yearly earnings it makes a huge painful dent.

Even if he takes off £8 an hour its still £20 in his pocket.
Lets say he works 30 hours per week that's £240 per week in expenses.
If your spending that much per week running a one man window cleaning business
then you need to re-examine you outgoings.
I had a bigger than usual spend last year new poles van tyres, R.O. membrane and so on.
My expenses including holiday pay came in at around a £100 a week.

I think he means £7 for a two bed semi four an hour wouldn't be a problem
could even do five if they where in a row.
