Reply to Gary:
??? No that's exactly how I see it. He wants to import his poles and fit Gardiners bits to them because he likes their goosenecks, brushes and hose.
Which bit have I got wrong and 'know it'?

kempy has a real dislike about the clamps and refuses all offers of help but insists on complaining about them, Alex has offered to take the pole off his hands and inspect it. kempy won't let him.

My own feelings are it's most likely worn out.

We are talking about two people here Kempy the complainer and Windiwasher who hints at importing and selling. Both have Gardiners poles and both are pushing their Chinese import. However, compairing prices of probably inferior poles to Gardiners is probably not a good idea.

+1

That's exactly how I see it also.

Gardiners have to protect their business, likewise Ionics, Facelift and anyone else. Alex has put a lot of time and effort into research and development (and money) built up a good business with excellent after sales service, he's also patented some aspects and with good reason.

We can all become overnight pole suppliers, sell from our bedrooms with no overheads and offer bugger all after sales service. Lets put them all out of business  ::)roll

But........ whilst we are undercutting the market lets fit all the other bits we really like from Gardiners like their really light carbon fibre goosenecks, swivels, brushes and pole hose. We'll keep using them for a while until something cheaper comes up.

Personally I don't see why any of you care.

Someone may or may not be selling poles, said poles may or may not infringe on copyright.

What difference does it make to any of you? When and if you need a new pole you will take a look at what is on the market and choose a pole that is suitable for you. You will choose an pole for a plethora of different reasons.

Kempy imported a couple of poles for his own use from China which he is happy with.

The mistake he made IMHO is that he told everyone on another forum how the import duty was lower as the Chinese undervalued the poles on the documentation and sent them as a gift.

Doug Atkinson picked him up on that. Once he would import them above board and pay the correct duty, then it would only be worth while with a quantity order.

Some of this with Kempy's posts where also fueled by Richard from Tebuc who has imported a few poles (for his use?), and we know how he loves GPS.

Aaahhhh, old Recardo (Tecbuk), the man who claimed he was the only supplier of a "purpose made" brush- when Gardiners had been doing just that for years! ;D The same man who reverse engineered a Gardiner pole & was going to manufacture a life changing pole himself- never happened. The same man who's wfp brush will do everything, including washing the dishes & walking the dog- with just one swipe!!! ;D ;D ;D

The same man who masqueraded as Ewan- & we all know how popular he was!! ;D ;D

This gets better ;D

Ha Haarrrrrrrrr ;D ;D ;D ;D

I think i'm a little simple....

So initially aqua adaptor were bringing out a new pole?(v-lite)

Now w washer has decided to sell his own poles but wanted to use other suppliers hose/brushes so techniqually they weren't his own pole he waa just mixing and matching?

In between all of this there is the secret email....

Now we may think w washer is already selling hos poles on ebay...
Also his replies have now gone very formal, where as before quite argumentative...

I conclusion.......this has more twists and turns than an agatha christie novel and i still dont know whats going on? ;D
Why don't you have a quick google before making stupid comments?

Right I am a window cleaner that needs poles and brushes etc.
I went to buy bits from gardiners for my own use.
in a month or 2 time I will be selling poles and will not be buying brushes or hoses from any other supplier.
I am not cj eddie.
I have no poles at the moment.
I hope this sinks into the mobs head.
thank you very much
I bid you all a good day.

Richard was persuaded on another forum to build a lighter Aerial brush using the same bristles but a stock made from carbon fibre. However it has died a death despite the thread being resurrected a couple of times.

Richard doesn't seem to get the fact that to be successful you need to build and supply what the buyers want not what he thinks they should have. He doesn't take criticism kindly.
