Hello guys want your feed back on this as to how it has effected you or do you not bother.

As a Back in the game Newbie,
I decided to get a smart-ish Van
Got some Polo Shirts and a Fleece as well as a Beanie all sewn up with the company name on it.

Been told it looks good and professional but that has been from family and friends.

Have any of you guys noticed a change or not, if you have done this. (ie more work or Bigger profits?)
Thanks J

Hi Jago
yes i have a smart van with sign writting and me and my employee both wear the same jackets and baseball caps with the company name printed on (in the summer t-shirts)

a lot of people say to us that we look to smart for window cleaners which i am proud of, the days of the flatcap boys on bikes are long gone

it's all down to presentation and it does make a difference

I think how you look has an effect.
I'm getting my van sign written shortly and looking at getting sweatshirts, jackets etc with my name on.
I think if people think you take a pride in how you look then you will take a pride in what you do.

Just before Christmas i was stood talking to a w/c working next door to where i was working when a chap walked up and said he was looking for a w/c.
The w/c i was talking too jumped in before me and said yes he'll do it and asked where he lived.
This chap just looked him up and down and said i wasn't talking too you. He told him he wanted a professional cleaner who did it for a living not for a bit of beer money.
I didn't know where to look.
I don't wear a uniform as such, but make sure i am clean and tidy.
This other w/c had ripped jeans, a jacket with black marks all over it and hadn't had a shave for about a week.

This is what made me think about getting proper gear with my name on.

Hi all,

I take it a stage further i have a rule where my employees don't swear on premises and don't smoke either goes down very well with the older customers. Also believe you should be clean shaven unless you have a beard of course.

Cheers Mark.
