DD are simple to audit, so checking payment take minutes rather than 3 hrs/month

We can set them up over the phone when a client signs up

I can increase my prices as and when I want by just writing to the customer then changing it myself

I can take prices off my work lists so my WCs can't see them  ;D

I can change bank accounts at any time without difficulty so can get the best rates on offer

My bank charges drop to almost zero as its all electronic

I can stop any payments at any time

When I sell the business I can transfer them over to the new owner with ease

There's probably more too....

Def agree with you.

Enough respect if you get 100% paying this way...

we'll get 95% after our phased introduction...  I;m pretty confident.  most are on Standing orders already so it;s just changing them over.  the rest are paying by cheque.  most will change over by gentle persuasion, then some of the sticky ones will change when we tell them there will be a price increase for paying by cheque, and then some will change when we say it's either change or we'll stop!  it'll take us 6 months i reckon...

we've already changed to only offer new clients direct debits as a payment option.
