magic eraser pad damp with water to deep clean your poles, then wipe off with a damp microfiber cloth to absorb all the loosened soils.

I flushed out my extreme 25 the other week.took all sections apart then dried them off.

Then I lightly sprayed all sections with clear car lacquer.left it for a couple of hours then re assembled.

Poles like new again now ;D

I have usd car none wax polish. The glaze  polymer/silicone type that build up on paint work will give you a good hard  with a bit of a shine.

Yeah, I know Alex says that but I've not heard an explanation as to why...
I've been using carbon poles for 7 years and never had a single issue with WD40.

Little waffle microfiber glass cloths are to good and to expensive for wiping down poles, that is why i recommended using a bog standard microfiber cloth.

The best cleaner for carbon is good old water  :)

After that you can of course treat the surface with many different things as some of the above comments show. We always recommend dry-film PTFE spray as this is very easy to use and will provide a safe and non-sticky protection.

We cannot recommend using a oil based PTFE enriched lubricant such as GT85 or WD-40 as these are designed to be penetrating and could cause de-lamination of the carbon fibre material. If you speak to any of these lubricant manufacturers they will tell you the same thing. They also can cause the failure of bonding agents used to stick the clamps to the pole.
