Who has them, what breed and do you take them out with you to work?
I might have asked this a while back, can't remember. I am thinking of getting a boxer pup and am interested in how dog owners in our business cope.
I have one employee, so would be cosy in the van  :)

Got a cocker spaniel its nuts! Got a friend who is a builder both dogs go to work with him but they go in the back of a pick up and don't run off when he is working even when the tail gate is up.
Mine would defo run off and come back but create mayhem on the way. If they are used to it from being a pup its ok some people leave them at home all day which i think is worse. On short days I can give him a walk surprising how many customers are interested rather than being peeved at a big eared spaniel being in tow. Expect to be sharing sandwiches quite difficult not to share when there are two beady eyes around 30cm from your lunch wagging its tail with pleading eyes

I have a collie that comes everywhere with me. Some customers insist that the dog comes when I do the windows.

He smells, so I got him his own van, he is quite happy in the driving seat as you can see.

if it is dirty it is fair game

I've got a bulldog he's been out with me a couple of times, I only started up about a month ago so don't have a lot of of work at the moment, don't think I could cope with having him with me all day every day would slow me down too much as he's far too stubborn and lazy. A boxer dog would be a lot easier I'd imagine, lovely dogs an very intelligent. It's true what they say it's a mans best friend.

There are a few to choose from. I am trying to weed out the puppy farms. Going to look at some tomorrow that are ready to go toward the end of Jan. The last job I did today was a new customer and coincidentally, they have a beautiful boxer dog, two years old and just great.
We have a cat too and I am hoping they will get on  :)

I can't stand animals so can't really speak freely but isn't having a dog in the van just for pikeys?
Never seen a non-pikey (except some weird French guy with a dulux dog) take a dog to work in his van.
(Obviously farmers before someone points that out)

Nowt wrong with pikeys IMO.
In fact I've put a metric ton(ne?) of scrap their way just this week.
It all depends on what kind of look you're after.

Not bothered about the look. Happy to do a good job which my customers (mostly) appreciate. Busy beyond belief so doing something right in my pikey van.

Great for customer relations and getting you noticed by potential new customers. Probably the best advertising I have ever had.
