vac DIY question
« on: December 17, 2013, 05:14:50 pm »
My three stage vacs seem to be on the weak side, the inlet filter is clear, I want
to check the internal fans for blockages, has anyone had success removing the end cap?

Have you checked the lid, air leakage more likely the cause. Create some smoke and waft it round the lid and see if it gets sucked in.

It could also be the vac gaskets sometimes they come loose and get sucked in causing a leak.

Above average foaming is a sure sign air is getting in somewhere, alternatively if the vacs are on  high hours they will become less effective. Another possibility is a hole or slit in the vac hose, have you tried a different hose or check the cuffs?

Thx Simon, think its a combination of thin lid gasket and leaking cuffs  ;)
