why do window cleaners use backpacks?they look like toy wfp systems to me.dont buy another.get a proper pump and controller with a decent battery.

also you must be filling it up every 5 mins! ::)roll.it was bad enough changing two 25L BARRELS on my trolley every hour when i first started.

do yourself a favour and get a tank, pump and 100m of microbore.its much easier mate.

sorry not much help regarding backpacks

very best wishes

There is a screw that adjusts the pressure switch setting. To increase its sensitivity you would need to loosen it slightly. This screw is on the end of the pump on the pressure switch.

Alternatively try turning the flow rate up slightly on the speed control as this might help.

Backpacks do offer a great way of trying out a WFP system before committing to a full van set-up. Like you I would not want to work full-time from one as it would be too fiddly and time-consuming - a tank, pump and 100m of Microbore will save you time and money in the long run. However we do keep a backpack in each vehicle as they are great for the odd difficult to access job.

mines does the same. ive mentioned that on here before it also takes a while for the pump to stop when turning the tap off.

I aways carry my backpack with me in the van ocasionally I have to walk through a custys house to clean the backs,so no trailing hoses through the house, plus I can close the back door, impossible to do with a hose in the way. I also have a old back pack which is my tfr or virosol backpack. I never have or never will use my backpack actually on my back, always carry it

thanks for the info alex, i'll try the screw, dazmond i worked for 2 yrs with it on my back no problem now i have it on a sack truck, 1" hose on the tank so backpack  fills in 40 secs , no winding hose in, no dog muck, no twisting into knots, yes i have 4 or 5 bigger jobs where a van mount would be faster but for the rest of my work the backpack wins hands down

Although I don't use a pack pack all day every day ... I do have one which is worth it's weight in gold on a few court yard type commercials I have where reeling the hose through the building just isn't an option ..

I think most windys that use a back pack, have use or had a van mount, like me, but in time find they much prefer the b/p,  it prob does look a bit toyish, but it pumps pure water, .....  each to their own    :)       jp

backpack man me, got a  tank in the estate and use a shurflo bilge pump connected to the cigarette socket to fill the backpack less than a minute to fill.  bought a hose and chucked it away.  wfp tops and trad downstairs, best of both worlds.
