aquarium heaters

looking at the price of aquarium heaters i'll give it a go!
I need to heat around 200 litres so guessing a 200watt heater would do it, for the guys that use the aquarium heaters is this correct? and how long do you need to have them on for, Thanks guys.

Get the most powerful you can, 200 watts will heat 200 litres but take a good part of 12 hours to reach anything decent temp wise and 500 watt or better 1000 will heat that amount in 4 hrs. But to make the best of heating this way you really need to circulate the water or have water movement in the tank

I use something similar to this to circulate the water. It does seem to help
