going to start offering direct debit to customers, offering 50% of their next clean if they sign up direct debit. I am only offering this to customers that I have to go back and collect money from as I think the 50% will pay for itself over time in diesel and time in the future when collecting.what percentage of your customers took up direct debit when you offered it to them?Mitch

I think most people would probably co operate if you tell them you are stopping collecting and don't really give them a choice, without it costing you a half price clean. If you really want to give them an offer why not make it 20% off gutter clearance or another extra service. That way you might get a few extra jobs and everyone's a winner.
