This forum is well moderated. If we all behaved better we should not need a moderator.
WE all need to come to the realization that we are an industry and if something we do or say will reflect badly on us all .Stop thinking me and think we. There is a very strong cultural  feeling to bully others in our society and that seams like a social shortfall in us and a lack of communicative skill.

its a good enough forum if you want to know what equipment to buy, or how to set up a van etc.  it's not a great business forum, and I don't seem to find there's much quality business advice on here.  the really successful people don't seem to stay on here too long IMHO

Unfortunately it's a window cleaning forum. I think for business advice you'd need to look elsewhere.

I think this forum is fine as it is and I don't quite understand exactly what the original point was: 'what has happened to this forum'. That sounds like a complaint without actually saying what that complaint is. Maybe it's just sour grapes or chucking the dummy out or maybe this or maybe that but unless the o/p states what he means exactly, then perhaps he's just as bad as what he seems to be complaining about.

The answer to the question 'what has happened to this forum' is 'nothing has happened to this forum'. It's still here and still a forum.

You complain about other people and what they say or do, and you post juvenile posts like that swearing at people?? Thats offensive. You should be banned from this forum. Hopefully your fishing boat will have no wifi and you can't ever post again. Anyway if you're selling up and doing one of your other million business ideas why are you still on here?

And yes i've hidden my details, purely because I like some things to remain private - I know how people can be, nasty, aggressive and stupid and don't want them knowing my details.

Some people post very good stuff here which has helped me a lot, you though sir a waste of reading time. You can be successful and still look on a forum, and still have an opinion.

I lurk, I fish through the garbage for the good information and chose to avoid the drama mainly because I was the type of person ya lot of you like to come on here and chastise. I was jobless and broke and just started doing windows on the "double" I can imagine the reception I would have got if I put that on here a year ago because judgement is passed so quick in this forum. I knew whet I was doing was wrong but I couldn't afford to sign off without having the security of at least some work. So i canvassed up some work earned a few quid bought a wee bit of work and slowly maneuvered myself financially got a van got insured and got WFP and signed off mostly from advise I read on here. So in my opinion this is a good forum though there are a few numpty jockeys who because they have "made it" are very critical and judgmental for no better reason than liking their own opinion so much they want to force it on other people.

Just a pity some of the muppets that run the country don't come on to forums like this.
They would see how hard it is to get off benefits without having to do the double or break the law as they would
put it.
Its posts like this that make this forum worth visiting real people having to do what it takes to
make a go of their lives.

It is an open Forum and provided comment stay the right side of the line people should be free to post comment or opinion. I do not envy Tosh the job of moderator I feel he gets the balance right. If you feel a post is self serving express the right not to read it.

There are a lot of very experienced people on the forum with a lot to offer. and yes there is the meaningless banter, Which can be entertaining at times . Its needs both to be a lively and informative site.
