Pump Positioning

Does it make any diffrence, as in high/lower/level with tank outlet?

Also, if its upright of layed flat?


My old setup I had it layed flat but im thinking upright if poss in my new one.

The best position for any pump is with the pump inlet/outlet part under the body of the pump. Also the pump is best mounted as low as possible compared to the tank.

The best position for any pump is with the pump inlet/outlet part under the body of the pump. Also the pump is best mounted as low as possible compared to the tank.

So this would make my pump upside down then.., in therory?

So this would make my pump upside down then.., in therory?

The black water part of the the pump should always be below the part with electric in it - the main motor body.
